Guardian Water & Power Receives A+ Rating

January 8, 2009 – Guardian Water & Power, a national provider of utility submetering and cost recovery services, today announced that it has received an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The BBB is a non-profit organization that sets and upholds standards for business behavior.

On January 6th the BBB launched its new version of the BBB Reliability Reports™. The new reports include a detailed A+ through F letter grading system replacing the previous “satisfactory” or “unsatisfactory” ratings.

In a press release issued January 6th, the BBB said its new rating system is based on 16 factors and also on actual incidences of a business’s behavior. According to the press release, the letter grade represents “BBB’s degree of confidence that a business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer concerns.”

“We are extremely pleased to have been rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau,” said Patricia Apostolos, Guardian’s Operations Vice President. “BBB Reliability Reports provide an important and objective standard against which we measure overall customer satisfaction. We also use Reliability Reports to evaluate potential vendors and prospective clients. The new letter grading system will give us even more detailed and accurate information.”
